Now Faith Is…

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The believer in the earth must live by faith. All that God does for us… the things He has said… all of His promises come by faith. Faith was in operation before the fall of mankind. When Adam disobeyed God, he took all of mankind into the carnal state, the worldly state, the state of the five senses. After Jesus died for the sins of the world, and made the way for mankind to come back to God, the only way for man to return to the God who created him, he had to return to a life of faith. Now, the only way to come to God is to come to Him in faith. You must believe in Him and you must believe His word.

We have been called to come back to a life of faith. Now that we are saved and are back to where God created mankind to be, we are called to return to the life that God created mankind to live. It is a faith life. It is a life filled with the life of God. It is a life governed by the life of the Holy Spirit. By living this life, we join life with God and a life with the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. We join life in the realm where God lives and moves and has His being.

Many have made faith hard to understand, but when you meditate the word, it is not hard to understand. We have just got to realize that in the life of the Spirit there is noting physical or nothing that you can see with your eyes. Life, however, is present. Though we can not see anything with our eyes nor feel anything, something is present. That something is faith. That something is life. Faith says that there is something there. Faith brings it into reality.

Faith takes you into the world of God, the Kingdom of Heaven. Faith enables you to receive the blessings (riches or the things) of the Kingdom of God. And through these things, we are blessed. These blessings turn in to substance, into material things. Thus, we have what we pray for. Thus our prayers are answered. We have what we are believing for in our hearts… thus, faith.

Faith enables you to operate in God’s world – to live, move and have your being.

He wants you to have in the natural what you are holding in faith before Him.  Not only that, but think about it: if faith is the “substance” and “evidence”, then in the realm of the Spirit, you already have what you prayed for.  Then why do you not have it in the natural realm?

Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Heb 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;” Therefore you work close with Him on all things. Your communion, fellowship, and union with Him must grow stronger and stronger each day. You do not let a day go by without interacting with Him. For it is because of Christ that you have faith. Then it must be real to you that faith is substance and faith is evidence. Heb 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” In the world of God, faith is the substance of the thing you hope for. In the world of God, faith is the evidence of things not seen. If you have faith then it means you have the substance and the evidence that you are looking for, and you hold it (in faith) until the Holy Spirit manifests it in this natural world.

Saints of God should:

Be sincere in faith. I Tim 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: II Tim 1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. Abound in faith. II Cor 8:7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. Continue in faith. Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Be strong in faith.  Rom 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Stand fast in faith. I Cor 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.  Be grounded and settled in faith. Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;  Have full assurance of faith. Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Faith enables you to operate in God’s world – to live, move and have your being.
