LIVING YOUR DESTINY

The most forgotten thing today is destiny. We push it out of our minds or keep it somewhere way in the background because we do not want to deal with it. We know that we are here in the earth to do something special, but life situations, life demands, life necessities will not let us focus on what it is we are suppose to be doing. So we end up living our lives based upon what others think and say about us or based upon the demand that is being place on us for the moment.

I want to say to you in this writing, stop where you are. Look deep within and look to God; get in touch with the real you and say yes to what has been there all the time. Start living out your destiny. Live out the reason why you have been born. For to reach that place in life where you are doing what you have been called to do…to finally yield to what you know that you are in the earth for…ignoring and forsaking what others may say or think about you and breaking into the life that you know you are suppose to live will be life complete…it will be life fulfilled…it will be joy forevermore, a deep satisfaction and peace.

King Saul, in the Old Testament, was chosen by God to lead Israel out of bondage to the Philistines. God, speaking to Samuel the prophet said, “…Behold the man whom I spake to thee of this same shall reign over my people” (I Sam. 9:17).  Here was a man appointed by God, moved upon by the Holy Spirit, gifted with a spirit of prophecy, and destined by God to lead Israel. Saul started out right. For a while he lived his destiny, walking in the fear of God. He was appointed king over Israel and suddenly he began to fall. He walked in his destiny for only a short time. Saul missed all of the great things that God wanted to do in his life.

There are many names that I could write about. All missed what they could have had only if they had walked in their destiny. Do not be like them. Be what God wants you to be and do what He wants you to do. You have one life to live; live it for God, and you will never regret it.

Ephesians 1 holds the will of God for you: 3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”

This text reveals the following: You have been chosen in God before the foundation of the world, that you should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestined you unto the adoption of His child by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made you accepted in the beloved. What is God saying? The heavenly Father has adopted you and the devil no longer has any claim on your life. Now you are to live for God, blameless and holy, by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit. Your single purpose in life is to live your life as a praise and glory to God. You are to live out your destiny. You do this by the life and power of the Holy Spirit in you.

The Spirit of God in us is our witness that we are children of God. This Spirit dwells in us to lead and guide us into all we do on the face of this earth. This is what connects us to our destiny: The Holy Spirit.  He knows what your destiny is. He knows what you have been sent here to do. He knows the work of His family and He has been assigned to bring us into that work in order to fulfill God’s plans and God’s purposes for this earth and for our lives. He knows that you are special! …chosen! …ordained! …anointed! for good works. And the devil no longer has claim on your life.

Receive this impartation: Set yourself to move in your destiny and nothing will ever stop you. You will go forth in the power and grace of the Holy Spirit to do the work you have been called to do. You will move with ease regardless of the distractions of life, the attacks, the trials and the test of the enemy. Keep your mind on the word of God. The works of the enemy will not prevail against you. The reason: you have found your purpose. You are living your destiny. You know that you are in faith and in the family of God. You know that you are doing the will of God. You know that the Holy Spirit in you will never let you down. He is in you to help you reach your goal.
