Beloved, this is what I want for you the people of God today.  There is a remnant in this sanctuary today who all you have is a promise from God. Life has not been easy for you. Trials have come. Disappointments have come.  There have been times when darkness just sat right in on you. There have been times in your life when you did not know what to do. You have even wondered: when Lord?  When? God wants you to know that you are going to have your day. You are going to be able to say along with others who have held on in faith – those who have waited on God: In Christ we glory.

You have been down. You have been depressed. You have set in darkness. You have been tried on every hand and all you had was a promise from God. There were times in your life when you had to wait. You have had to be long suffering. There have been times when you have felt all alone, stripped of your joy, your strength, nothing on the outside and nothing on the inside except a promise from God. But did God let you down? Did God let you go under?  Did God leave you hanging? No. He kept His promise. He did just what He said He would do. He gave you your day – a day to glory in Him. Why? Because you kept the faith and waited on Him.

There are only a remnant in the church who will do the will of God for today. Just a few who will say, yes Lord. Why? Because to do the will of God you must die, you must deny, you must sacrifice, you must suffer, you must decrease so that Jesus might increase, you must let Jesus live in you and through you. And it must be Him, through His power, that doeth the work. Jesus cares less about prosperity, the kind of house you live in, the kind of car you drive. He said my meat is to do the will of him that sent me. And to walk in his steps means that you no longer live unto yourself but unto God.  You are a servant, a chosen vessel.  Call to do the will of God.

You day will come. If you have been faithful; if you have been waiting on God; if you have been trusting Him, your day is coming. No matter what you have to go through; no matter how long you have to suffer, God will give you your day. And I am not saying this as if you deserve something or you have done so much to earn anything, no I am not saying that at all; but because God said he would, because He has spoken it in His word, then your time, your day is coming. You will get your day to glory in the Lord. Just stay faithful to God. Stay in prayer. Live the word and your day will come to pass.

I Peter 2:9 reads, “… ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” Note the words he uses – Chosen generation, Royal priesthood, Holy Nation, Peculiar people.  Now does that sound like a defeated people? The people of God are chosen. Those who God have chosen can go through anything. They are empowered to stand in the evil day. Along with their being called comes an anointing. This is how they could face lions, fiery furnaces, crosses, even death.  They were chosen.  They were peculiar.  Others call them crazy, to give their lives. They lived with the knowledge that the presence of their God was with them, and that they were the people of God. It gave them a boldness in the face of their enemy.

Take a moment and clear your mind. Now, focus on the cross. Visualize Jesus on that cross. Then repeat the following:

No matter what I have done, Jesus loves me. (Focus on the cross)

No matter what I have done, Jesus died for me.

No matter how many times I have failed, Jesus loves me.

No matter how many times I have failed, Jesus died for me.

No matter how weak I am, Jesus loves me.

No matter how weak I am, Jesus died for me.

No matter how sinful I am, Jesus loves me.

No matter how sinful I am, Jesus died for me.

It is time to grow up in Christ. Instead of complaining about how hard life is; instead of murmuring how it seems like your prayers are not being answered; instead of you being depressed all the time and talking negative and complaining that nothing good ever happens to you, start saying what your God says, and stand on it in faith and trust Him until He brings it to pass. You have yet to know God. Complaining means that you are not in the word. Negative talk reveals that you have not word in you. Make up your mind today that you will not live another day without meditating the scripture. The word is your life. The word is your victory. The word will always be what you need in any situation you go through.

Prevailing prayer is determined by how much you really want your needs met.  It is determined by the level of your desire, dedication, commitment, and determination. Jacob was so determined to be blessed that he wrestled through the night, Genesis 32:24, until the breaking of the day. He said, v26 I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. How strong is your desire to see your needs met? How bad do you want or need a breakthrough in your life? Do you really want to see a change in what you have been going through? Then it is time for you to do like Jacob, prevail in prayer until you hear from God, until a change comes, until the answer or manifestation come!  And believe me, it will come!!!

We are missing something: the word is quick, alive, and God wants us to treat it that way. Do not ignore it. Study the word everyday. Consult the word. Meditate it daily. Pray the word. Hide it in your heart. Walk with the word. Establish it in your heart. Pray the word. Keep it before thine eyes. And the word will keep you. The word will bless you. The word will heal you. It will supply all of your need. Remember you are walking by faith. You live by faith. Let the word become your faith. You will be blessed in all you do.

Psa 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Have you found this to be true. Have you applied this to your life. Do not delay. Start today. Life is so short. There are so many things coming at you, to distract you. Take this word daily and make it your delight. Read it; meditate it and you will find that the word will be your success. The word applied, in your heart, coming out of your mind will manifest through your life. This is what God wants. This is the life He wants you to have while here in the earth.
