Keep on Praying

I John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

To The Saints in Prayer:

A word of encouragement to you is: keep on praying. Right now, it may not look like anything is happening. It may seem, in fact, the opposite of what you are praying for, but keep on praying. The Lord has shown me how some saints have given up. They have been overwhelmed by what they are going through. The enemy has taken their joy, their strength, and their determination. And to tell the truth, you do get tired sometimes. You do feel like, “what’s the use”. You do get to the place where you do not feel like going on. Believe me, the enemy is doing all he can to help us all to get to this place. Why? Because he does not want prayer going up from the earth, and he will do all he can to stop it.

Please, let there be no doubt in your mind. God will hear your humble cry. When you call upon him, call upon him in faith and call upon Him according to His word. This is the door to your victory; it is the way you overcome. In the scriptures, all who prayed in faith and according to the word of God always overcame. It did not matter what trial or trouble the saints were in, God always delivered them on time.

John tells us that this is the confidence we have in him. If the enemy has taken your confidence then take it back. How? By standing on the word. Our confidence is in knowing that we are asking the Father according to HIS WILL. This means that you have given up your will in this matter. You have surrendered what you want for what God wants in the concern. Please do not miss this. What God want or what He wills is what is going to come to pass. Heaven and earth may pass away but God’s word will never pass way, and His will always come to pass.

Please allow a peace to come over you when you read this passage.  Let a settling come into your spirit when you read “…if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:” God hears you. When you pray, God is listening. No, you do not have to see movement right now but know that He is listening. Just to know that He hears your cry brings release. It gives you peace and inner strength. Pause, and give Him thanks. Thank Him for hearing you.

Yes, God is listening; and “if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
