FAITH IN GOD

You have stepped into the world of “faith in God”. It is a world where everything you are, everything you have, everything you do, and everything you say is by faith. From this night on you have got to remember and keep uppermost in your mind that faith is the key to all you do and say. The continuous operation in faith is very important to your spiritual growth and development. As you believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead by faith and as you believe that you are filled with the Holy Spirit by faith, you now use that same faith to walk and carry on all your business in this world. This is one of the things that God is seeking to do: to have a people who will use faith to live in this natural world. Satan wants you to be controlled by your feelings or senses, but you are not under Satan’s dominion anymore. You are under the dominion of the Kingdom of God. Thus whether in this world or out of this world you operate in life on faith in God. We are returning to the life that Adam lived before the fall – a faith life, a life of faith.

To operate in faith in God in this world (and out of this world – when you pass on) you will have to know the “word” of God. Your faith has to be based on something. That something is the word of God. Therefore you daily meditate on and in the word of God. It becomes the basis for what you believe.

Faith takes you into the world of God, the Kingdom of Heaven. Faith enables you to receive the blessings (riches) of the Kingdom of God. Faith enables you to operate in God’s world – to live, move and have your being. And we have yet to fully experience what it means to live in God’s world. Thank God we have a few more years left to find out. Hunger to know. Hunger to learn. II Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God… Faith enables you to operate in the wisdom of God. Faith gives you the mind of Christ. Faith enables you to operate in the power of God. Faith enables you to walk in the Spirit of God. So you are to learn faith and use faith in all of life.

Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Heb 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;” Therefore you work close with Him on all things. Your communion, fellowship, and union with Him must grow stronger and stronger each day. You do not let a day go by without interacting with Him. For it is because of Christ that you have faith. Then it must be real to you that faith is substance and faith is evidence. Heb 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” In the world of God, faith is the substance of the thing you hope for. In the world of God, faith is the evidence of things not seen. If you have faith then it means you have the substance and the evidence that you are looking for, and you hold it (in faith) until the Holy Spirit manifests it in this natural world.

You must start to live a life of faith everyday. By faith the saints:

Live: Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Stand. Rom 11:20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: II Cor 1:24 Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.

Walk: Rom 4:12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised. II Cor 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Overcome the world. I Jn 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Resist the devil: I Peter 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Overcome the devil: Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Saints of God should:

Be sincere in faith. I Tim 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: II Tim 1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. Abound in faith. II Cor 8:7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. Continue in faith. Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Be strong in faith.  Rom 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; 24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Stand fast in faith. I Cor 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.  Be grounded and settled in faith. Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;  Have full assurance of faith. Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
