Since the days of the Apostles we have learned of the great warfare against the saints of God. In fact, all who unconditionally surrender their lives to God and wholly commit themselves to follow the leading of His Spirit are constantly under some kind of attack. We can see it in the life of Paul the Apostle and we can see it in our own lives. However, God gives us the peace, joy, strength and grace we need to endure. You have in you what you need to overcome. You have in you what you need to make it. You have the Word of God, the Spirit of God and Faith. God said, in His word, Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” He said, in Isaiah 41:10 “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” He said, Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;” These are God’s words to you. His word is the sword of the Holy Spirit, given for your victory in the earth. You will overcome by the word of God and the Spirit of God.

The same Spirit that was in Jesus Christ when He walked the face of this earth is now in you. Think on this. Think what it means to have the same Spirit in you that Jesus, the Son of God, had in Him. Let this truth penetrate to your inner most being. Seek God for the manifestation of this reality. You want to live it day by day. Everything will change. The way you do things changes. The way you walk changes. Your witness for Christ changes. God the Spirit comes to dwell inside of you, to fill you with His presence, nature, likeness, and character. He will, if you let Him, take full control of your spirit as you yield to Him. He will cause your spirit and His Spirit to become one. In fact, it is His will that you be one in spirit with Him. This kind of yielding is a day by day, moment by moment yielding that manifest itself in obedience as you understand with your mind what it is God wants you to do or say.

Whatever it takes! That is the attitude. We must be willing to give our all to make sure that our intercession is effective. Jacob wrestled all night. Are you willing to pray all night for those needs that you are holding before God? Can you say whatever it takes I will pray until my breakthrough comes? This is the attitude of one committed to and dedicated to prayer. Saints who have this kind of commitment have a strong desire to see their needs met. No season saint should enter prayer and true intercession without having such a desire. Then we prevail in prayer until we get our answer. Never stop praying until you get your breakthrough. Pray until the enemy see that he can not prevail against you. Remember, you have God and the resources of the kingdom of heaven on your side. You will see the victory. Being determined like this means that you are no longer considering the difficulties of what you are going through. It means that you no longer are moved by what you see, feel, hear or touch. You see only God and the answer, and you are determined to pray until the manifestation comes.

Those who are called by God to serve go through a season of preparation. You are going to experience God the Holy Spirit separating you or setting you aside to prepare you for the ministry you are called to. The Bible clearly reveals that the people God use to serve Him are first set aside or separated unto Him. Moses went to Midian. Abraham left his family and homeland to obey the call of God on his life. John the Baptist was out in the desert until ready to do ministry for God in the cities. Paul fellowship and received revelation from God in the desert places for three years. Even Jesus spent 40 days and nights in the wilderness alone before starting His ministry. All were prepared by God the Holy Spirit for the day that they would serve Him. The question: are you willing for the Holy Spirit to separate you, set you aside, to prepare you for the work that God has called you to? Are you willing to spend time with God the Holy Spirit in preparation for the work that He has for you to do?

How does the power of the cross work in saints today? The Spirit applies the working of the cross by the word of God. He releases into your spirit what God has spoken in His word. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Luke 9:23 …If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Colossians 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. These words and all the words of God are important. Through the word of God the power of God is at work in every believer and in every situation.

Paul said, (II Cor.4:10) We are always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. As we submit to the working of the Cross, it works in us to bring conformity to the death of Jesus, thus opening the way for the life of Jesus to be manifested in our body in the earth. The purpose of the power of the cross working in you today is to bring death to those areas of your life that want to live and have its way, and in so doing hinder the manifestation of the life of Jesus from coming through you. Paul learned through experience that v11” … we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.” He learned that v12 “…death worketh [by the power of the cross, continually,] in us” for one purpose: that the life of Jesus might be manifested in the earth. The world will see your body but will experience the life of Christ coming from you.

One of the realities the saints of God have learned to live with is, in this life one will never reach the place where there is no warfare. You will never reach a place where the Devil leaves you alone. There will always be adversity in the life of the Christian here on earth – warfare. However, those who are in Christ, and those who live and move through Him, will never be destroyed. Paul tells us this in another way: I Corinthians 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed. Therefore keep putting the word into your heart. Let the word of God take form in you. This is your key for standing against all the attacks of the enemy. The word in you will become your faith or will become faith in you. The only thing that wins against the enemy is the word of God.

Your destiny is still before you. You still have a chance at the life that God wants you to live. You still have time. Do not let fear and doubts cause you to miss your goals or miss your blessings. Never let what negative things people do or say control your life. Never see your blessings through the eyes of those who walk in fear. Believe what God have said in His word. Be determined to have that by faith.

Believe it or not, Christians are not on this earth for a good time. God has allowed us to come to this earth for His purpose, to carry out His Divine will. Through you God wants to save the lost. Through you God wants to heal the broken. Through you God wants to light up this dark world. Through you He wants to reveal Himself so that all mankind might know him. Through you God wants to establish His kingdom on earth. But to get there, you must make an unconditional surrender to the Spirit of Christ and to the word of God and submit daily to the working of the Cross and the word in your life. The Holy Spirit is your guide. John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. Stay broken and yielded before the Lord.

You have grown weary. You have grown frustrated and stopped walking with God. You have lost your faith in God because of all that you have gone through. Those who have unconditionally surrendered their all to Christ will (I Cor 4:10) “always bear in the body the dying of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Those who live in Christ Jesus will always be “delivered unto death for Christ’s sake.” The sentence of death is always in those who live in Christ by faith, who walk after Him, who follow His ways, who serve Him in spirit and in truth. In other words, all who unconditionally surrender their lives to God will one day come to the same reality of what Paul experienced and even what Jesus Christ experienced: death working in us that the life of the Spirit of God might be manifested in our body.
