When I see you, the children of God, fall to the attacks of the enemy; when I hear you say, “Pastor I have prayed. I have fasted. I have stayed in the word. I am not living in sin. I do not doubt God. Yet the enemy attacks me so”. When I think about those who are backsliding and those who have given up; when I think about those who have lost the will to walk with God, my heart goes out. I find myself identifying with the prophets, crying out for God to send a word for his people. But then I know that the true disciple, the ones who walk close with God, the ones who dare to make his will their will are troubled on every side. They are perplexed, persecuted, forsaken, cast down, and rejected. Satan keeps on buffeting and buffeting them to cause them to fall but they stand. Will you will stand too.

Ten disciplines for going to the high places in life:

1  —  Let not sin reign in your mortal body, Rom. 6:12.

2  —  Yield yourselves unto God and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God, Rom. 6:13.

3  —  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, Col. 3:16.

4  —  Be filled with the Holy Spirit, Eph. 5:18.

5  —  Mortify the deeds of the body, Romans 8:13.

6  —  Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, Eph. 4:23.

7  —  Keep your thought life pure and holy, Phi. 4:8.

8  —  Pray always … in the Spirit, Eph. 6:8.

9  —  Set your affection on things above, Col. 3:2.

10 —  Remember, always, it is God which worketh in you, Phi. 2:13.

It is hard to imagine God allowing any of His servants to go through, but He does. The reason: II Cor. 4:10 “[We are] Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” Beloved, we are the called of God. We are the children of God. We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood. We are filled with God’s Holy Spirit. We have the life of God in us. There is no room for self: self will, self righteous, self strength, self power, self anything. In all that we do for God in the earth it must be done by His life, His power, His strength and His Spirit. Now you can better understand: I John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Now you can better understand: II Chronicles 20:15 “…for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” Now you can better appreciate: II Corinthians 12:9 “…My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

The Holy Spirit is come to…John 16:13 “…guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come;” to empower you according to Acts 1:8; and to Romans 8:26 “help [your] infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God”. Let nothing keep you from following the Spirit. Hide the word of God in your heart and follow the Spirit in all things. You will life to bring God glory in all things.

One important key to living the kingdom life is to know the revelation that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and to know that you are the Body of Christ, a member in particular.  If you can believe that you are the Body of Christ, then you can believe that the Holy Spirit is the life of His Body.  If He is the life of your/His body, then He must be in control.  It is through your will and spirit that you relinquish control to the Holy Spirit. Then He directs you from day to day, moment to moment, situation to situation as to how you are to act or what you are to say.  It is a powerful life!

God gives words for you to speak; you understand with your mind what He is saying and what He wants you to say. Then you say the words that He wants you to say. You do not become blank minded. You keep you mind and use it to understand what the Spirit of Christ in your spirit is saying in you and/or doing in you. You become an instrument whereby God can use you. He uses your body to express Himself through. He uses your body to demonstrate through. The key is, you know that you are working with God. God is not working alone, He is working with you. So yield. Surrender. Open your spirit and allow His Spirit to come into you to manifest His life and His will in you and through you.

Beloved, man will curse you but God will bless you.  Man will see you as no good, but God will count you highly favored.  Man will put you down but God will lift you up and use you for His glory.  Man will say no to you but God will say yes and open every door that you must go through.  Man will say, you can not do it but God will make man out of a lie and enable you to do it anyway. And just in case you missed it, God said, “thou that art highly favored”. Who are the highly favored today?

Those who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

Those who can stand before God having been made righteous by Him.

Those who have pick up their cross to follow Christ daily.

Those who have made a complete surrender to the will of God.

Those who are fully submitted to the Spirit of God.

Those whose hope, faith and trust is in their God.

Sometimes we have had to question could anything good come out of this situation? Will what I am going through ever change for me? The situations were so impossible; the way was so very hard and difficult; and our faith in God so weak that it would take a miracle to see the change that was needed. But some how, some way, God would always come through, just like He said He would. Nothing we did to deserve it. Nothing in us that made us worthy.  But out of His grace and mercy He moved. Out of His love and compassion He moved.  Because He promised, He moved.  And our lives have never been the same.
