Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  23 I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  The focus here is on doing the will of God the Father, not on doing wonderful works.  The will of God is the thing that will stand out in that day when you stand before Him; not “I did this and that”.  Thus the question for you is, in these last days, can you say that you are the generation that God is looking for to help usher in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ?  Can you say without a doubt, without lying to God in this holy place: I am the generation that the Lord is looking for.  I am committed to doing His will.  I will be faithful to God and to the work of His Church until Jesus Christ returns to this earth.

God has called the Church, the Body of Christ, in the earth…

–      to declare to the world that the kingdom of God is at hand.

–      to declare to the world that Jesus lives and that Jesus saves.

–      to preach the good news to the poor.

–      to heal the broken hearted.

–      to preach deliverance to the captives,

In other words, to do the same work that Jesus did.  Not only saving others, also discipline others.  Teaching them to observe all things that Jesus commanded His disciples – heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, freely ye have receive, freely give. Beloved it is time.  If you are going to be obedient and carry on the work of Christ on earth, if you are going to be the vessel He uses to advance the kingdom of heaven on earth, then it is time to open your life fully to the presence, life and power of God.

And we should be able to say, like Jesus, my only reason for living, the only thing that really matters in this life is doing the will of God, and pleasing Him. Those who realize that they come from God can say this. They know that this is in them. They know that they have come from God and that God now lives in them. This makes the difference in their world. This makes the difference in everything that they do. Listen, as long as you are bearing the fruit from God that is within you. As long as you are manifesting the will of God in the earth is all that matters. You have come to your place of maturity. God has fulfilled His will in allowing you to come to this earth.

Jesus said, Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you – Power to preach, power to teach, power to prove that Jesus lives, power to deliver the captives, power to heal the sick, power to win souls, power to disciple souls, power to cast out the enemy, power to pray, power to fast, power to bring down strong holds, power to seek God’s faith until he moves on your behalf. The same power that Jesus had and needed in order to carry out his Father’s will is the same power he wants for his disciples today. That power is what we, the church, need today to do the will of God.

It’s time. It’s time church. It is time for the children of God to pass the place of blessing and move to the place of power in Christ Jesus. The power and life that the first church received is the same power and life needed today. If we are going to convince the people of the world…

– that love is more powerful than hate.

– that God’s Son actually came and lived on earth.

– that the cross is the way men and women are saved from sin, death and hell.

– that God is agape (unconditional love).

– that mankind can be born again, and made new creatures in Christ.

– that man can live forever through faith in Christ Jesus; and,

– that God is the strongest power … then it is time for the church, you individually, to be filled with the power

and life of God Himself.

Beloved, this is what I want for you the people of God today.  There is a remnant in this sanctuary today who all you have is a promise from God. Life has not been easy for you. Trials have come. Disappointments have come.  There have been times when darkness just sat right in on you. There have been times in your life when you did not know what to do. You have even wondered: when Lord?  When? God wants you to know that you are going to have your day. You are going to be able to say along with others who have held on in faith – those who have waited on God: In Christ we glory.

July 9, 2013

You have been down. You have been depressed. You have set in darkness. You have been tried on every hand and all you had was a promise from God. There were times in your life when you had to wait. You have had to be long suffering. There have been times when you have felt all alone, stripped of your joy, your strength, nothing on the outside and nothing on the inside except a promise from God. But did God let you down? Did God let you go under?  Did God leave you hanging? No. He kept His promise. He did just what He said He would do. He gave you your day – a day to glory in Him. Why? Because you kept the faith and waited on Him.

There are only a remnant in the church who will do the will of God for today. Just a few who will say, yes Lord. Why? Because to do the will of God you must die, you must deny, you must sacrifice, you must suffer, you must decrease so that Jesus might increase, you must let Jesus live in you and through you. And it must be Him, through His power, that doeth the work. Jesus cares less about prosperity, the kind of house you live in, the kind of car you drive. He said my meat is to do the will of him that sent me. And to walk in his steps means that you no longer live unto yourself but unto God.  You are a servant, a chosen vessel.  Call to do the will of God.

You day will come. If you have been faithful; if you have been waiting on God; if you have been trusting Him, your day is coming. No matter what you have to go through; no matter how long you have to suffer, God will give you your day. And I am not saying this as if you deserve something or you have done so much to earn anything, no I am not saying that at all; but because God said he would, because He has spoken it in His word, then your time, your day is coming. You will get your day to glory in the Lord. Just stay faithful to God. Stay in prayer. Live the word and your day will come to pass.

I Peter 2:9 reads, “… ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” Note the words he uses – Chosen generation, Royal priesthood, Holy Nation, Peculiar people.  Now does that sound like a defeated people? The people of God are chosen. Those who God have chosen can go through anything. They are empowered to stand in the evil day. Along with their being called comes an anointing. This is how they could face lions, fiery furnaces, crosses, even death.  They were chosen.  They were peculiar.  Others call them crazy, to give their lives. They lived with the knowledge that the presence of their God was with them, and that they were the people of God. It gave them a boldness in the face of their enemy.
