We have stepped into the world of “faith in God”. It is a world where everything we are, everything we have, everything we do, and everything we say is by faith. From this night on we have got to remember and keep uppermost in out minds that faith is the key to all we do and say. The continuous operation in faith is very important to our spiritual growth and development. As you believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead and as you believe that you are filled with the Holy Spirit by faith, you now use that same faith to walk and carry on all your business in this world. This is what God is seeking to do: to have a people who will use faith to live in this natural world. Satan wants you to be controlled by your feelings or senses, but we are not under Satan’s dominion anymore. We are under the dominion of the Kingdom of God. Thus whether in this world or out of this world we operate life in/on faith in God. We are returning to the life that Adam lived before the fall.

With the Word in your mouth and in your heart, you now have the creative ability of God in you. Hebrews 11:3 reads, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” And in Hebrews 1:3 it reads, upholding all things by the word of his (God’s) power… This tells you that the source of God’s ability to create is in His word(s). What He says comes into existence. What He says, He does. He never does anything that He does not say first. His words are the source of His ability to do. It is the same for you. Your ability to do is found in the source of God’s word in your mouth and in your heart. You can do no more than what you have from God in your mouth and in your heart. God (Word in your mouth) is the source of God’s creative power in you. It is the source of your ability to do.

Now you can stand fearlessly before any enemy and prevail because of the Word in your mouth and in your heart – Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Now you can stand and be strong and prevail over what you are going through because of the Word in your mouth and in your heart -Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Now you can stand with authority before sickness and disease because of the Word in your mouth and in your heart – 1 Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” You can now love those who seem so unlovable because of the Word in your mouth and in your heart – John 13:34,35 “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

Now it is important for you to always be conscious of the fact that the word is God. John 1:1,2 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God.” When you have the word of God in your mouth and in your heart, you have God in your mouth and in your heart/spirit. The word is God. This being true, then the Word in your mouth and in your spirit prevails over every situation you go through. This is just like saying that God in your mouth and spirit will prevail over any situation that you go through. God can not fail. God will not fail. God will prevail. The Word will prevail.

Your surrender to the work of the Holy Spirit in your life is very important. Because God knows you better than you know yourself, He allows the Spirit to go deeper and deeper into your life. Why? Because the roots of the world run deep into you, and in all who say that they love the Lord. God allows the Spirit to work many deaths into you to prove that you are dead to the world and to make sure that you have forsaken all. All of this so that God will have no hesitation in manifesting His life through you, His anointing, power, faith, and word through you. It will take many deaths but only one resurrection!

Paul wrote in II Corinthians 4:10-12, “Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.” Those who live in Christ Jesus will always be “delivered unto death for Christ’s sake.” The sentence of death is always in those who live in Christ by faith, who walk after Him, who follow His ways, who serve Him in Spirit and in truth. In other words, all who unconditionally surrender their lives to God will one day come to the same reality that Paul experienced, and even what Jesus Christ the Son of God experienced – death working in you that the life of the Spirit of God might be manifested in your body.

The Spirit is here to work the death of the cross into you. Do you want the power to go on? Do you want to experience the resurrected life of Christ in you to make you an over comer? Then allow the Spirit of God to apply the death of the cross of Jesus to you in what you are going through. Yield to the working of the cross in your life and then watch God manifest Himself in you to get you over. Jesus just did not die on His own strength. Remember that He had to put on flesh and blood. But it was by the power of God that He let death rain in Him. It was by the power of God that He went to the cross. It was by the power of God that He died on that cross. Death, denying of self had to be working in Him for the power and life of God to manifest through Him. It is the same for you!

God wants you to know the importance of experiencing for yourself the in working of the cross in your life and the out working of the life of Christ. Jesus died…was buried…and rose from the grave. But it means nothing until the Spirit of God makes it real in the lives of the people of God. It means nothing until the Spirit of God is allowed to incorporate it into your day to day walk with God. In other words, you must know and have part of your Christian experience the death and resurrected life of Jesus Christ. Now I am not talking about being religious. I am not talking about the “does and don’t” of the law. I am talking about living and experiencing from day to day, moment to moment, the life of God in you and through you.

The death of the cross was worked into Jesus. He leaves for our example what we must go through or experience the in working of the cross, if the life of God is going to be manifested in our mortal bodies. You will go through many deaths to self in this world while walking with God. You will experience many deaths as you commit yourself to doing the will of God. Many of you may be tired right now. Things have happened where it would be easy for you to turn back on God. You have been hurt, deceived, disappointed, lied on, talked about and mistreated. For some, it has been hard, just plain hard. You have been under attack. Your body has been under attack. Your family has been under attack. Your finances have been under attack. Your marriage has been under attack. It would be easy for you to give up. But don’t you give up! This is where you let the Holy Spirit do His work. He will show you the way from the word of God.

No one ever told us that in order to experience the out working of the life of Christ in our lives there must be an in working of the death of Christ in us. In other words, if Jesus is going to live in us and through us, then we must, by the Spirit, allow the death of the cross to be worked into us. In other words, as the life of Jesus was brought to an end on the cross at Calvary, today our lives must be brought to an end by the Holy Spirit applying the cross of Jesus to our lives that Christ might live in us and through us. This is a spiritual experience. As you abandon your life to Christ, the Spirit will take you and so apply the cross to your life that you cease to move in self, talk in self, live in self, and cease acting in self – doing what you want to do. The cross of Jesus implies death to self or death to the self-life in order to experience the life of God.
