There are people today who will tell you that you can’t live holy for God in the midst of all this sin in the world. Yes you can, if you want to. When you think about the fact that you are chosen by God and the life of God flows through you by faith and that God will be your strength, power, help…all you need to live for Him, how can they say it’s impossible? God in you will do the work, if you let Him. He will be in you what you need Him to be so that His perfect will can be done in your life. Through Him you wait. Through Him you serve. Through Him you are the generation that looks for His return. God has chosen the weak. He has chosen the poor. He has chosen the nobody. He has chosen the lowly. He has chosen the rejected. He has chosen the fearful. And has put His life in them, set them aside, consecrated them, sanctified them, filled them with His Holy Spirit and power, preparing them — proving them, getting them ready to do the work He has called the church to do in these last days. These are the royal priest. These are they who will be established as a holy nation. These are God’s peculiar people.

Can God have a people, a generation that will work with Him in these last days? Are you the generation that will help usher in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? Will you faithfully serve God until Jesus comes? Peter reveals in I Peter 2:9a “ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people…” Beloved you have been chosen by God. You are a chosen generation. When you are chosen, you can not live the way you want to live. When you are chosen, you can not be dibbing and dabbing in and out of sin. When God has set you aside for a special purpose, for a special call, you can not just live any way. God requires of the chosen: faithfulness. God requires of the chosen: walking uprightly before Him. He requires of the chosen: blamelessness. In other words, do not have anything in you that the Devil can take ground on. Whatever habit you have; whatever pet sin you have; whatever weakness you have, give it to Jesus and you walk righteous before God. Why? Because you have been chosen to make up the generation that will usher in the coming of Jesus Christ.

Waiting is a virtue. The scripture reads: James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Isaiah 40:31 … they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Psalms 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: Hebrews 6:15 And so, after he [Abraham] had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. This is the generation that God is looking for, a generation that will wait on Him.

To move into the Spirit and stay there, you must stay in fellowship with God and His word. You must obey God in all things and walk in love showing the fruit of the Spirit. This leads to power in God, in the Spirit, to do the will, the work of God in the earth. Now you must humble yourself. God uses you not you use God. One thing that you may fail to realize and that is this, Jesus is real and alive. He is real inside us, His body the Church. Therefore, there is fellowship, communion, communication, love, relationship, and oh so much more. To succeed you must give yourself to be an expression of Christ in the earth.

God knows you. He understands you. When no one else understands, God knows and understands what you are going through. Please don’t confuse this with God going alone with your sinning. He hates sin, and the soul that sins will die. But he knows and understand all about you and he cares about what you are going through. In fact he cared so much for you, knowing what you would experience in this world that he allowed his only begotten son to experience the sufferings of the world so that he can better help you in the times of trouble. When I say that Jesus understand what we go through, he does. It is because he has gone through them before us.

We represent the kingdom of God on earth. We stand praying against all that come against the children of God. Let the word of God rise up in you. Ask God to manifest His power and glory through you the same way He did through Jesus Christ His Son. We want to be able to show that there is a difference in us. God has made us vessels equipped with power and all we need to glorify Him.

When are you going to let go? When are you going to open your heart fully to the presence, power and life of God? It’s time. It’s time. It’s time church. It is time to come and repent. We know the will of God. We know that God wants to use us. Many already know what God would have you to do. But you have allowed things, people, your own will, your own ambitions to get in the way.

Today, if you are wondering why you are saved and in the church, you are chosen. Everybody can not go through what you can go through. Some have already turned around. I believe that there is something on the inside of you that keeps on telling you that you belong to God. Mistakes. Yes. Failures. Yes. But you still belong to God, for He takes the imperfect man and woman and use them for His glory. You see a mess, but God calls it a treasure. II Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. For we, I Corinthians 1:26, [our] calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. Beloved, that’s God. He takes the nothing, the nobody, the struggling, the least among us and through them birth His will in the earth.

Psalms 27:1 “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.” Those who apply themselves in this word from God prepare themselves for what the enemy will try to do to them. At the same time they receive nourishment for spiritual growth, thus fulfilling the word of God.
